Project Manager

Astatine develop, design, construct, operate, fund (if required) and maintain multi-technology assets to enable an acceleration toward zero carbon for energy users across multiple sectors. This is a huge growth area forecast for the next 20 years, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to upskill in these technologies, their applications and design considerations.

Position Title: Project Manager

  • Salary: Negotiable based on relevant experience

  • Location: Hybrid working model – Work from Astatine’s offices located in Guinness Enterprise Centre, Dublin 8 when required, otherwise work remotely/from home.

  • Working Hours: Full time – Monday to Friday

  • Responsibilities:
    • Lead and co-ordinate all project activities to ensure alignment with company procedures and achievement of client satisfaction goals.
    • Oversee projects from concept through to system commissioning, working closely with cross-functional teams.
    • Collaborate with the design team to ensure equipment specifications meet client site requirements.
    • Develop and manage detailed project plans and schedules, ensuring execution to meet agreed timelines and deliverables.
    • Manage project budgets and cash flows to support financial performance and reporting accuracy.
    • Implement and oversee inspection and testing plans to meet internal standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain clear, up-to-date project documentation in accordance with company procedures.
    • Ensure full compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) responsibilities, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Communicate project progress, risks, and technical issues to clients and senior management clearly and consistently.
    • Conduct site surveys to gather essential project data and support effective planning
    • Attend site as required during project execution to ensure quality and progress.
    • Resolve critical site issues and address delays caused by unforeseen events such as inclement weather or emergencies.
    • Provide constructability input and contribute to cost estimation for upcoming project development programmes.
    • Maintain productive relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
    • Support and carry out any additional duties required within the scope of the role.
    • Ensure a strong understanding of in-house contract types and commercial obligations, applying contract terms effectively throughout project delivery.
    • Identify and manage project risks, proactively developing mitigation strategies in collaboration with the team.
    • Manage project variations or scope changes, ensuring proper approvals and documentation are in place.
    • Take responsibility for project close-out, including commissioning, documentation handover, and client sign-off.
    • Utilise project management tools and systems to track progress, manage resources, and report on outcomes.
    • Actively engage in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to remain current with industry practices, regulations, and technologies.
