Project Overview:
ENGIE, an international energy provider, have appointed Astatine as EPC Contractor to Design and Build 3 Grid Connected Solar Farms across Ireland.
Key Results:
- Total 18,000 kW ground mount solar PV system.
- ~ 15.7 GWh annual energy production.
- Annual CO2 reduction of ~5,000 tonnes.
Project Highlights:
The new solar farms, located in Galway and Limerick, will have a combined installed capacity of 18-megawatt peak (MWp), which will allow them to generate enough electricity of 4,100 homes. The solar farms in Dromsallagh in Limerick, and Ardnadoman and Rooaun in Galway, are part of six projects awarded under last year’s Renewable Energy Support Scheme.
